Hafan Cymru is delighted to have been awarded the We invest in people, standard accreditation. This means that we have the principles and practises around supporting our people in place and that everyone in the organisation understand how to use them to make work better!
We are now one of 15,000 organisations across 75 countries that work better for our people.
Hafan Cymru have been helping people who have found themselves in vulnerable situations for over 30 years. We offer a holistic approach to the provision of support for women, men and families with a wide range of needs – including those who are homeless, have experienced domestic abuse, are recovering their mental health, individuals with substance misuse issues and ex-offenders. We aim to ensure our clients can maintain themselves in an independent home within the community.
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said:
We’d like to congratulate Hafan Cymru. Being accredited with We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Hafan Cymru in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.
Commenting on the award, Sian Morgan, Hafan Cymru Chief Executive, said:
We are extremely proud to have achieved this accreditation. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the continued hard work and dedication of our people and our organisation as a whole.
About Investors in People
Most of us will spend around 80,000 hours at work in our lifetimes.
For something that takes up that much of our time, we think people deserve to get more out of it than just a regular pay cheque. That is why we’ve already helped more than 11 million people across 75 countries to make work better.
And you know what, we’re just getting started…
How are we doing that?
We are a community interest company, which means we put our purpose before our profits. That means everything we do and every direction we take is done to make work better.
Organisations that meet the We invest in our people framework are proud to display their accreditation to the world. Because they understand that it’s people that make work better.
