Following a recent tender process, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been selected to provide a new ‘Housing Support Grant’ funded service in Torfaen. This will see us re-design a previous floating support service, to develop a new, flexible, person-centred support service which includes floating support, drop-in sessions, group support, learning/skills building workshops and peer support. Our focus will be to empower everyone who accesses the service; supporting people to feel safe, and develop their self-esteem and confidence to start a new chapter in their lives.
As part of this change we’re delighted that several new colleagues will be joining the team at Stori in Torfaen – we look forward to welcoming the new team in April!
The project will complement our existing range of specialist support services for families and individuals throughout Torfaen. These services include Vulnerable Families Floating Support, Male Domestic Abuse Floating Support, LGBTQ+ Floating Support, and our Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Project.
While we recognise the funding challenges facing the Housing Support Sector, we’re committed to navigating these challenges creatively and innovatively, ensuring we consistently deliver high quality services. Our aim is to provide meaningful and practical support that prioritises the wellbeing of the people we support, empowering them to thrive independently within their local community.
