Sian Morgan speaks at the Soroptimist International

Sian Morgan, our Chief Executive, was recently invited to speak at the Soroptimist International meeting held in Bridgend.

Founded in 1921, Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement with a network of around 72,000 club members in 121 countries. Advocating for human rights and gender equality, at the heart of So optimist International’s advocacy is its work across seven UN Centres, where our UN representatives ensure that the voices of women and girls are heard. Our membership work on grassroots projects that help women and girls achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in communities worldwide.

At the meeting, Sian presented to many inspirational women from the region, who are keen to assist Hafan Cymru, as we continue to support people to live better lives.  They were keen to help us continue to influence Welsh Government at ministerial level.

I spoke about the journey of Hafan Cymru and the way we have diversified over the years to work with people who need support from Domestic Abuse / Domestic Violence, mental health challenges, etc.

We would like to thank Soroptimist International for their kind donation towards our Tenant Participation program.
