Stori Expands Housing Support Services in Torfaen with New HSG Funded Initiative

We are excited to announce that, following a recent tender process, we have been selected to deliver a new ‘Housing Support Grant’-funded service in Torfaen.

The supported accommodation-based service will be available to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, offering person-centred, targeted support, information, and guidance to help prevent and alleviate homelessness.

This new service will complement the existing range of HSG-funded support that Stori already provides in Torfaen. We are excited to further expand the support we offer to the local community, where we have established a wide variety of services and activities, including Floating Support, Support for Children and Young People, an LGBTQ+ Coffee Group, a Parent and Toddler Group, and an Arts and Crafts Club.

These initiatives align with our core mission, which is not only to help individuals live independently but also to empower them to engage with and become fully integrated into their local community.

As part of delivering this new service, we are also excited to welcome several new team members to Stori, and we will be looking to recruit skilled people based locally to join our team, further strengthening our ties to the community.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our services in Torfaen. This new project will allow us to build on the success of our existing support and make a real difference to those at risk of homelessness. By recruiting locally, we are not only investing in the people we support but also creating opportunities for the community we work in.”
