The Nurturing Programme

Duration: 10 weeks, 2 hour sessions   Audience:  Parents who want to improve or develop an emotionally healthy relationship with their child.  This could be for parents whose relationship with their child has been affected due to experiencing domestic abuse

The Nurturing Programme provides adults with the understanding, skills, and ability to lead emotionally healthy lives. This includes support to build resilience, use empathy, improve self-esteem and develop positive relationships.

The Nurturing programme teaches four constructs as building blocks to maintaining emotionally healthy relationships:

  • Self-awareness
  • Appropriate expectations
  • Empathy
  • Positive discipline

Through the course, the four constructs are used to learn about emotionally healthy relationships, and the importance in forming emotionally healthy relationships between parent and child.
