This course is designed to provide an introduction to the impact of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence (VAWDASV) for individuals with co-existing multiple support needs. It increases understanding of the importance of anti-discriminatory practices when working with individuals who have experienced VAWDASV and have co-existing multiple support needs; as well as how to support them. The course looks specifically at the impact of mental health, substance misuse, homelessness/housing problems, exploitation, poverty and the criminal justice system.
A very resourceful day, lots of knowledge and real life experience shared. This training will support me in having appropriate conversations with the families I work with.
