At Stori, we believe that the best way to build meaningful services is by listening closely to the people who use them. Your insights, ideas, and lived experiences are at the heart of everything we do—and they help us grow, adapt, and improve.
Over the past few months, we’ve spent time connecting with tenants and clients across our communities. We’ve talked about what’s working well, what could be better, and what changes would make the biggest difference to everyday life. These conversations have been honest, insightful, and incredibly important.
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve already begun making changes. Here are just a few examples of what you told us—and how we’ve responded:
“We liked our community days, but we wanted them closer to our community.”
We know how much it matters for events to feel truly local and easy to attend. That’s why we brought our Community Day directly into the heart of our neighbourhoods and increased the number of events so more people could take part without needing to travel far.
“I want virtual support sessions through the 6 weeks holidays so I can spend time with my children.”
We understand that summer holidays are a time for family. To help you stay connected while prioritising your children, we introduced virtual support sessions and created activity and information packs to keep things engaging and helpful.
“I don’t feel safe.”
Feeling safe at home is essential. In response, we applied to the Circle Fund and secured £79.99 for a Ring doorbell. We also requested regular PCSO patrols in the area to help increase visibility and reassurance.
“I struggle to remember support session visits.”
To make things easier, we now pre-book appointments, add them to your calendar, and send a reminder text two days before each session.
“We would like to have more cooking sessions.”
We love that our cooking session bring people together. Thanks to secured funding, we’re now able to offer cooking sessions throughout the year, giving you the chance to learn, share, and enjoy.
“I feel isolated.”
No one should feel alone. That’s why we created a daily breakfast club, giving tenants a space to connect, chat, and build friendships over a warm meal.
“I want some animal interaction.”
We arranged visits to the zoo and welcomed dog therapy sessions to the scheme—bringing joy, comfort, and a few wagging tails.
“I would like to gain some qualifications.”
Your goals matter. We’ve trained staff to Agored accreditation level so they can deliver workshops that help you gain recognised qualifications and take steps toward your future.
